Almedina Bell
Director of Engineering & Projects | Owner – D&T Process Optimization
- Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) focused inBiochemical Engineering from Western University
- 20 Years of Process Engineering, CapEx Project Management, Construction, Maintenance Planning, Process Optimization, Procurement, Operations Management, GMP, Sales Management, Mentoring, and Supervision Experience.
- 17 Years of Oilseed Operations Experience, Senior Plant Engineer & Plant Superintendent positions at multiple Soybean, Canola, Cotton, & Peanut Crushing & Refinery plants in both Canada and the USA.
- Expert in Prep & Solvent Extraction plant Design, Build, Commission, Operation, Troubleshoot, & Maintenance.
- Prior to becoming one of the owners of D&T Process Optimization, Almedina held multiple positions with ADM at their Crush and Refinery operations in Windsor –Ontario, Frankfort -Indiana, and Valdosta –Georgia. During that time Almedina was charged with the design, build, and commission of multiple Prep, Extraction, Biodiesel, Seed Receiving, and Loadout plant builds & expansions. In parallel with her responsibilities for the day-to-day operations of the crush and extraction plants Almedina was also the principal Engineer for numerous Extractor and DTDC replacements where she was the lead for all aspects of the projects from conceptual design, budget approval, detailed engineering, procurement, installation, and commissioning.
Tom Bell
Director of Engineering & Projects | Owner – D&T Process Optimization
- 25+ Years of Electrical Engineering, Automation, CapEx Project Management, Construction, Process Optimization, Procurement, Mentoring, and Supervision Experience.
- 17 Years of Oilseed Operations Experience, Master Industrial Electrician, Process Controls Specialist III, and Regional Automation & Electrical Manager at multiple Soybean, Canola, Cotton, & Peanut Crushing & Refinery plants across Canada, USA, and Mexico.
- Expert in Prep, Solvent Extraction, and Refinery Plant Electrical & Automation Design, Build, Commission, Operation, Troubleshoot, Optimization, & Maintenance.
- Prior to becoming one of the owners of D&T Process Optimization Thomas held multiple positions with ADM at their Crush and Refinery operations in Windsor –Ontario, Frankfort -Indiana, and Valdosta –Georgia. During that time Thomas was involved with the design, build, and commissioning of multiple Prep, Extraction, Biodiesel, Seed Receiving, and Loadout plant builds & expansions with his focus being on the Electrical Engineering, Constructability, and Automation aspects of the projects.
